Happened almost right where I turn off for work every morning. A Silverado crossed the highway and collided with a Ford van, GMC SUV, and Ford SUV, then the Ford SUV burst into flames, killing 3 more inside the Ford SUV. I’m not going to pass judgement due to the craters in the roads that the State just fills in with loose tar and chip, but stay safe out there and pay attention.

Right when I would normally be arriving as well...

Just added an article, but no clue yet. There is relatively sharp curve if it’s where I think it happened, so could have just taken it a little too fast, hit one of the nuclear craters, and then went across. No clue. The road is extremely dangerous when dry due to debris and damage that the state won’t fix, so slightly wet makes it awful. Not saying that was it, but it could have been a huge part. A lot of people don’t understand how shitty the roads are. I’ve experienced the notoriously “bad” PA roads, and they are in excellent condition in comparison.

Any info on what this “Ford SUV” was?

I’ve never driven in SC so I wouldn’t know how bad the roads are but if your saying they are worse than PA... living in Philly with a lowered mustang was the bane of my existence.

From what can be seen in the clip, I’m thinking mid-2000’s Expedition.

I lived in the rural western side of the state, and the roads were bad, but they weren’t this bad. I’ve driven on unpaved coal roads up there that are smoother than 378.

Are you ok? Seeing something like that is tough. I hate when states be cheap fucks and it causes shit like this. Stay safe everyone.

I’m not really blaming the state for this, but it couldn’t have helped. Chances are something else caused it. But yeah I’m fine. I just realized my luck isn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was. I’m usually right there at 5:45-6:00. The accident happened at 5:48. So that's eye opening.

I saw the aftermath of a gnarly motorcycle crash in Guatemala that involved a 50-foot trail of gore leading up to a mangled, faceless corpse. I still see that shit in my sleep sometimes.

Thankfully I didn’t get close enough to see things like that, but the fact that I normally would have been there at the time it happened is kind of freaking me out a little. I might just thank my boss for letting us leave early yesterday.

SUVs are horrible and the people who drive them suck. Not a surprise they’re killing each other. They have zero regard for the rules of the road and the machines are technically inferior to cars. I wish they would all go away.
